A Sunday morning fire did an estimated $200,000 in damage to a Hilo home.
According to a written Fire Department statement, 13 units responded to a 10:43 a.m. alarm at 180 Mauna Loa St. with the first unit arriving five minutes later.
Arriving firefighters found the upper story of the two-story home fully involved in flames. All occupants escaped safely and have been referred to the Red Cross.
The fire was reported under control at 10:58 a.m. and extinguished at 11:08 a.m.
About $100,000 in property value was reportedly saved and there was no reported damage to surrounding structures.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
